Treasury minister warns hospitality VAT cut would cost ‘a lot of money’

Financial Secretary to the Treasury James Murray has warned that cutting hospitality VAT from 20% to 10% would cost ‘a lot of money’ according to The Sun. The Treasury minister told The Sun any VAT cut would have to be ‘fully funded’ and provide value for taxpayers’ money.
