Former Tongatapu 2 PR, Semisi Sika, loses appeal

Nuku'alofa, Tonga: People's Representative (Tongatapu 2 ) and a former Cabinet Minister, Semisi Sika, has lost his appeal against a Supreme Court decision that declared his election void for breaching electoral expenses during his campaign, in the lead up to Tonga's General Election, in November 2025. The appeal was dismissed in full and the Appeal Court declared Mr Sika's election void and his unseating from parliament remained in force.
