Audit flags weak flood planning in Punjab

An audit report submitted to the Punjab Assembly has pointed to major gaps in flood preparedness across Punjab. The Auditor General said required disaster risk reduction plans were not prepared, while canal rehabilitation after recent floods cost over Rs7.17 billion.
