Nigeria will join other countries on September 8 to celebrate World Literacy Day. But from statistics, there is little to roll out the drum to celebrate. Stakeholders say the nation’s abysmal performance in tackling illiteracy rate is unsettling . They stress that the situation is further exacerbated by the high figure of out-school-children, which stood at about 20million.
