Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Saturday questioned the Centre's move to advance the Population enumeration for Census 2027 in the poll-bound states -- Goa, Uttar Pradesh, Punjab and parts of Uttarakhand. In a post on X, Ramesh said the move by the government shows "shoddy planning" since it was known that these elections were due.
