Utilization trends for endoscopic ablation therapy and esophagectomy in Barrett’s esophagus from 2005 to 2019 - Scientific Reports

Guidelines have shifted to now recommend endoscopic eradication therapy for Barrett’s esophagus (BE) with low and high-grade dysplasia. Previously, esophagectomy was the standard therapy for high-grade dysplasia. However, it is unclear to what degree ablation therapy has affected utilization of esophagectomy.
