ULFA’s Chetia joins Bill protest

SHILLONG: Pro-talks ULFA leader Anup Chetia participated in the demonstration against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016, in the city on Thursday. Speaking to media persons, Chetia said being the convener of the North East Indigenous People’s Forum, he “wants to convey a message to the people of Meghalaya that they are not alone and the indigenous people from across the region are with the people here in their fight against the Bill”.
