Three cars force trucker off Dutch highway in attempted robbery

A truck driver was forced off the road by three cars on the Maas en Waalweg (N322) near Beneden-Leeuwen on Monday morning in an attempted robbery. The trucker survived the incident unharmed and nothing was stolen, RTL Nieuws reports. "It was an attempted robbery in which my driver was forced to stop by three cars", the owner of Ünsal Transport in Roermond, which employs the trucker, said to Omroep Gelderland. The truck was transporting a cargo of clothes for Primark from Germany to the Netherlands, according to the broadcaster. The business owner added that shots were fired.
