The search for a gunman who blinded police officer

65 years ago this month, a police officer was shot in the face at point blank range while on duty in Machynlleth. Retired Dyfed-Powys Police Inspector, Hugh Colley, has compiled a first hand account of the incident and subsequent manhunt to apprehend the gunman.
