The moment of truth is coming: how much money will the EU give Hungary?

The numbers war is beginning in the EUs budget debate, Bruxinfo said in an overview of prospects for the next seven-year budget period. For the first time since discussions began, the draft budget will contain specific figures, to be reviewed by national governments before the EU summit on 17-18 October. However, sources talking to Bruxinfo expect no breakthrough in talks on the next budget and do not see a deal being finalised before February or March 2020 at the earliest.
