The AfroZensus is an effort to quantify Blackness in Germany

​​​​​​The country collects no data on race and ethnicity, a direct result of the country’s Nazi past. Unfortunately, this also hampers the ability to significantly address institutionalized racism and its effects on the lives of everyday Black Germans.
