Temporary Automatic License Plate Readers moratorium approved by Elma city council

The agenda for the city of Elma’s city council meeting held on Tuesday, Sept. 8 was frontloaded with four public hearings. With in-person and virtual audience members not providing public comment, Mayor Josh Collette efficiently opened and closed the public hearing for each respective item in turn: adoption of Title 18 of the Elma Municipal Code to establish a comprehensive code enforcement system, adoption of a Complete Streets Policy; adoption of a temporary moratorium of Automatic License Plate Reader [ALPR] systems and establishment of a Transportation Benefit District.
