Sudan: NUP Deputy Leader - Sudan

Maryam El Sadig El Mahdi, deputy leader of the National Umma Party, has welcomed a joint position paper issued by Sudanese anti-war forces following a meeting in the Ethiopian capital, Addis Ababa, saying its importance lies not only in its content, but in its potential to pave the way for broader rapprochement among Sudan's civilian forces and help develop a more unified civilian position capable of exerting greater influence.
