Staffing challenges for Tonga’s Auditor General, experienced across govt ministries

Nuku'alofa, Tonga: Members of the Legislative Assembly of Tonga have criticised the performance and oversight of the Office of the Auditor General, during the House’s deliberations over the Auditor General Annual Report 2024–2025, on 13-18 August. The Prime Minister said that challenges facing the Auditor General’s Office were also being experienced across all government ministries who were losing qualified staff.
