St Catherine man allegedly held with ammunition in his pocket remanded

A 31-year-old St Catherine man who was allegedly found with several rounds of ammunition in his pocket during a police operation in the community of Dempshire Pen in Spanish Town has been remanded. Calvin Cottrell is answering to a charge of unauthorised possession of ammunition. His attorney-at-law, Shadae Bailey, indicated her intention to apply for bail. However, the Crown objected, arguing that Cottrell resides in a community where gun crime is rife and that more information was needed about him.
