She was flying before she could drive. Now this SA pilot’s a Forbes list TikTok star

Melissa Vezasie was 17 years old when she first sat in the flight deck of a plane. Today, she is 29 and is the captain of a Boeing 737, won SA’s TikTok first creator of the year award four years ago and was just named on Forbes Africa’s 30 “Under 30” list. And her social media fame almost happened by accident thanks to the Covid-19 lockdown.
