Rwanda: Stealing of Protected Crop Varieties to Attract Rwf100m Fine Under New Law

A company which fraudulently registers or claims ownership of another person's protected crop variety could face a fine of up to Rwf100 million or a prison sentence of up to three years under Rwanda's new agriculture law.
