Record number of travellers caught with large sums of cash

Last year, the Customs Department caught a record number of travellers carrying large amounts of money red-handed. Over 1,600 cases were reported to the money-laundering unit, a number which is 400 up on the year. Most cases are linked to transfers into the European Union.
