President approves Major Disaster Declaration for Hawaiʻi Island following magnitude 6.0 earthquake in May

The Hawaiʻi Emergency Management Agency Administrator encourages residents to document their losses, contact their insurance providers and apply before the Nov. 1 deadline, "even if they are unsure whether they qualify.”
