Politics behind slow Westmoreland hurricane recovery, claims PNP general secretary

People’s National Party (PNP) General Secretary and Westmoreland Eastern Member of Parliament Dr Dayton Campbell has accused the Government of being slow in providing hurricane relief for Westmoreland on political grounds. Addressing the party’s 88th annual conference at Independence Park in Savanna-la-Mar on Sunday, Campbell called for more assistance for residents of the parish, which was hit hard by the Category Five storm, which caused widespread devastation in western Jamaica.
