Police arrest Hong Kong man for alleged cocaine trafficking

A 37-year-old man from Hong Kong was arrested Wednesday night in Macau after the Judiciary Police seized 52.11 grams of cocaine as he entered the city via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge. Acting on intelligence about a cross-border smuggling ring, the PJ intercepted the suspect at the bridge checkpoint and found two packets of the drug in his possession. Authorities said the man had been smuggling cocaine from Hong Kong to Macau for sale, targeting nightclub workers. The drugs found on the suspect were estimated to be worth approximately MOP156,000.
