Police Advisory On Exploitation Of Apple Imessage By Scammers; More Than 30,000 Scam Accounts Disrupted

The Police have observed a surge in scams exploiting Apple iMessage. Since June 2026, the Cyber Command has detected and disrupted more than 30,000 Apple iMessage accounts linked to the scam campaign. The Police estimate that scam messages impersonating courier delivery companies have resulted in about $2.2 million in losses, an increase from the $1.2 million reported in the Police’s earlier news release on 5 August 2026.
