Petra, one of Christian rock’s pioneering bands, coming to Dayton

Petra, Greek for “rock,” is widely considered one of the first Christian rock bands. Formed in 1972 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, by guitarist Bob Hartman, Petra helped legitimize rock music within the contemporary Christian scene, reaching a generation searching for meaning in its songs.
