Peru consults on updated net neutrality rules

Peru's telecommunications regulator Osiptel has opened a public consultation on updating the country's net neutrality rules on the grounds that the 2016 regulation no longer reflects current technological and market realities. The review will assess whether the existing framework remains fit for purpose amid rapid growth in internet traffic, the spread of FTTH networks, and the rollout of 5G and related services.
