At the corner of Rue de la Paix and Rue de la Longue-Vie, in the heart of Matongé, a neighbourhood of Brussels influenced by a rich mix of African cultures – but increasingly under threat from gentrification – stands a hair salon, just like the many others in the surrounding streets.
