Palghar: 17-Year-Old Drowns In Nalasopara

A 17-year-old boy, Sohel Ibrahim, reportedly drowned while fishing at Nagla Lake in Nalasopara East on Sunday afternoon. Fire brigade and rescue teams launched a search operation. Locals and public representatives accused VVMC of negligence, alleging the civic body ignored earlier demands for safety measures, including warning signs and a protective boundary around the lake.
