Overdue Taxes in Greece Hit €110.8 Billion, Debtors Surge to 4.2 Million Greek City Times

Greece’s tax debt has surged past €110 billion, with over 4.2 million taxpayers owing the state, according to the Independent Authority for Public Revenue (AADE). From January to April 2025, unpaid taxes grew by €3 billion, pushing the number of debtors up by 470,000. As the AADE targets €6 billion in collections this year, major debtors face public shaming if they fail to settle by June 20.
