New Jersey man convicted in Rushdie attack terrorism case

A federal jury has convicted the New Jersey man who attacked author Salman Rushdie at Chautauqua Institution on three terrorism-related charges. Hadi Matar, 28, of Fairview, was convicted of attempting to provide material support to Hezbollah, committing an act of terrorism across national boundaries and providing material support to terrorists, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Western District of New York.
