Netherlands counts 42,000 homes worth over €1 million

The number of homes in the Netherlands worth over a million euros increased by 37 percent to 42,300 last year - a new record for the Netherlands, real estate researcher Calcasa announced on Thursday, NU.nl reports. The average price tag on one of these homes was 1.36 million euros last year. The average price per square meter was 5,300 euros. Over the past year these million euro homes' values increased by 9.2 percent, compared to an 8 percent value increase for all owned homes in the Netherlands.
