NE students’ body wants Centre to initiate talks on Manipur impasse

MANIPUR: The North East Students’ Organisation (NESO) representing eight major students’ groups of the North East held an emergency meeting on Tuesday in Guwahati to discuss the deteriorating situation in Manipur vis-à-vis the creation of seven new districts resulting in the imposition of economic blockade since last November. The organisation demanded the Centre’s intervention in ending the impasse by bringing all stakeholders on the negotiation table.
