Misreading the messages

The de­ci­sion by Prime Min­is­ter Kam­la Per­sad-Bisses­sar to is­sue two in­de­pen­dence mes­sages has caused many heads to ex­plode over do­ing some­thing dif­fer­ent­ly. There is noth­ing that says that a prime min­is­ter who is al­so a po­lit­i­cal leader of their par­ty can­not ad­dress the na­tion with one prime min­is­te­r­i­al mes­sage and si­mul­ta­ne­ous­ly ad­dress their par­ty mem­bers with a lead­er­ship mes­sage.
