Medic Now works to help veterans with medical costs

In the summer of 1944, U.S. Army Cpl. Orace “Bud” Holland lugged 40 pounds of explosives and ammunition each day through the hedgerows of Normandy in World War II. The soldier in the 118th Anti-Aircraft Artillery Gun Battalion of the First Army was often targeted by German snipers because he fired those weapons at Luftwaffe planes strafing American positions and also handled demolitions.
