Massive Burmese python seized at Coney Island after man showed illegal pet snake to crowd

A crowded summer scene on New York’s Coney Island boardwalk took an unexpected turn when an environmental conservation police officer spotted a man showing off two snakes to a group of people, including children. The encounter happened on July 12 near the Riegelmann Boardwalk, where the larger of the two reptiles was identified by its owner as a Burmese python.
