Mapping Tomorrow’s Jobs, Preparing Today’s Workforce

Bangladesh plans decades ahead for power, roads, ports and economic zones, guided by projections of future demand. Yet we do not plan with the same precision for our most important asset-our people. The Government has rightly prioritised employment, skills and technical education. The next step is to determine what jobs Bangladesh will need, how many, where and with what skills. A Comprehensive Employment Roadmap 2050, supported by a continuously updated employment intelligence system, could provide that direction.
