Man Arrested in Costa Rica Suspected of Raping a Canadian Tourist

The Judiciary Investigative Agency (OIJ) confirmed the arrest this Wednesday morning of the suspect of robbing and raping a 19-year-old Canadian tourist back in July 22. The man, 36 years-of-age and of last names Ferrey Vilchez apparently offered the foreigner transportation service from San Jose to Puerto Viejo, Limon; however, at some point they stopped in Guapiles where they purchased some items and took money out of an ATM and afterwards the man took the young woman to a rented room where according to her statement he raped her.
