Major differences in how much municipalities charge for housing construction permit

The cost of obtaining a building permit varies widely across the Netherlands, according to an annual survey by the Homeowners Association (VEH). The organization found that fees can differ by tens of thousands of euros between municipalities.Between March and July, VEH examined permit fees in 39 municipalities. The survey showed major differences: applying for a permit for a new-build home with €300,000 in construction costs would cost about €21,000 in Wormerland, while the same application in Oegstgeest would cost just €122.
