Magritte Museum reopens after six months of renovations

The Magritte Museum, considered the flagship of the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, has reopened its doors after six months of renovation work.Visitors will find that the museum dedicated to the Belgian artist René Magritte retains its intimate atmosphere even after the renovation works, which took a total of six months at a cost of some €450,000, borne entirely by the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium.They included renovating, repairing and sanding parquet floors, installing LED lighting everywhere and painting the walls.“We wanted to refresh the museum so as to preserve our precious Magritte collection as well as possible,” said…
