M’laya must link water conservation with rural livelihoods, says Marcuise

SHILLONG, Sept 21: Soil and Water Conservation Minister Marcuise N Marak said Meghalaya must ensure that its efforts to conserve water translate into better livelihoods, improved farm productivity and greater economic opportunities for rural communities. “Water is not merely a resource; it is closely connected with our environment, agriculture, livelihoods and the well-being of our communities,” Marak said.
