Long-running comedy to return July 31 to Hoogland Center for the Arts in Springfield

Oh, Sister. Say a little prayer for audiences at “Late Nite Catechism” at the Hoogland Center for the Arts this Sunday afternoon. This long-running comedy play and participatory theater takes audience members back, whether nostalgically or fearfully, to the children they once were. The Sister teaches a catechism class to a roomful of students, who are in fact the audience. The show was written in 1993 and popular Chicago actress Mary Zentmyer has played the role for 26 years.
