Liberia: Iwye Calls for 2 Percent Family Planning Allocation in 2027 Budget

The Initiative for Women and Youth Empowerment (IWYE) is calling on the Government of Liberia and lawmakers to allocate 2 percent of the national budget to family planning in the 2027 fiscal year, warning that inadequate financing is contributing to a worsening teenage pregnancy crisis across the country.
