Letter: ‘The education shift we need’

Dear Editor, It is interesting that the Ministry of Education should despair at the decreased levels of attainment of their students in the latest NCEA assessments. Yet it has been their responsibility to have provided all the support possible for their schools to ensure quality delivery and consequently the expectation of better results. Have they checked the literacy and maths attainments of their primary students recently?
