Lawson’s Pond gets a makeover

Driving down West Valley Road, people may be shocked to see the extremely low level of Lawson’s Pond as much-needed repairs and improvements are made. The work, owner Tommy Lawson told the Journal, included replacing the dam, the town’s pipes within the dam and along the borrow of the pond, and working with the Department of Fish and Wildlife to remove largemouth bass.
