Judge dismisses lawsuit challenging Northampton divestment resolution

Hampshire Superior Court Judge Charles W. Groce III upheld the city's commitment to divest from entities involved in human rights violations in Israel and Palestine on Tuesday, accepting the city's motion to dismiss a lawsuit challenging the divestment resolution. The National Jewish Advocacy Center, representing 10 Northampton residents, filed a lawsuit in March, months after City Council approved the resolution last September.
