India Faces H1N1 Flu Surge

India is currently experiencing an increase in seasonal influenza, with H1N1 being the main cause of rising cases. The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) has clarified that this is not a new strain but the familiar A(H1N1)pdm09 virus, which has become a common seasonal flu virus. Most cases are mild and recover on their own, though those at higher risk, like young children, older adults, and people with certain health conditions, may face more severe illness.
