Bold red and black threads interspersing with each other to portray mountains, flowers, forests, sacred buffalo horns, temple designs and oil lamps. This is Pukhoor embroidery, a distinctive craft practised by women of the the endangered Toda tribe in Tamil Nadus Nilgiris.
