Hochul says New York saw 3 million fewer Canadian visitors

Gov. Kathy Hochul said three million fewer Canadians visited New York during the past year as federal tariffs and political tensions disrupted tourism and cross-border commerce. In a Friday television interview, Hochul said the decline has affected communities from Buffalo and the Finger Lakes to the North Country, with wineries, shops, hotels and other businesses seeing fewer Canadian customers.
