More than 300 members of the Hisako Film Lab ʻohana gathered at the Regal Maui Mall theater as Maui student filmmakers premiered their original short films on the big screen before "Spider-Man: Brand New Day." One of the most powerful moments came when Baldwin High School graduate Emma Jane Roy shared how the program helped lead her from filmmaking on Maui to a post-production internship on the film.
