Group Calls For Nigerian Foreign Affairs Minister’s Resignation Over Poor Handling Of Envoys' Recall, Implications On Students’ Scholarships, Others

An interest group, Mandate for National Values and Integrity in Nigeria (MNVIN), has asked the foreign affairs minister, Ambassador Yusufu Tuggar to resign over his ‘unplanned, hasty and clumsy recall of Nigerian ambassadors and high commissioners in various foreign missions resulting in a national embarrassment’. The group in a statement signed by Malam Abdul Aliyu and Melford Nwokike, national coordinator and national secretary respectively, accused the foreign affairs minister of mismanaging simple diplomatic procedure and pushing President Bola Tinubu through a messy process.
