Government moves to ban under-16s from social media

The coalition Government is moving ahead with plans to ban under-16s from social media, despite the scepticism of the Act Party. The Online Safety (Minimum Age and Child Safety Risk Assessment) Bill was introduced to Parliament today and will place greater responsibilities on technology companies to protect children online.
