Gisborne under an orange rain warning as thunderstorms hit already soaked ground

MetService has Gisborne north of Tolaga Bay under an orange heavy rain warning until 8pm Friday, with another 60 to 70mm forecast and Civil Defence urging people to clear drains and avoid low-lying ground.
